Designing Minds - August 26

Explore Design Elements for your Garden with a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers

Join us on any one or all four tours showcasing four different approaches to garden design at Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center, the former home of Martha Brookes Hutcheson, one of America’s first female landscape architects. Learn how to incorporate this garden’s sophisticated design elements, such as alleles, axes and ha-has, into your garden, from these outstanding garden design professionals.

All of the tour guides are members of The Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). APLD is an international organization whose mission is to advance the profession of landscape design and to promote the recognition of landscape designers as qualified and dedicated professionals through a rigorous certification process.

Sharon Hollfelder leads this tour.

Sharon is the owner of Landscapes By Sharon, a land- scape design/installation and maintenance company. She started her company in 2008, after leaving a managerial position at an upscale local garden center. Sharon has her degree in Landscape Design and Maintenance from County College of Morris.
