Designing Minds - July 22 Tour

Explore Design Elements for your Garden with a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers

Join us on any one or all four tours showcasing four different approaches to garden design at Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center, the former home of Martha Brookes Hutcheson, one of America’s first female landscape architects. Learn how to incorporate this garden’s sophisticated design elements, such as alleles, axes and ha-has, into your garden, from these outstanding garden design professionals.

All of the tour guides are members of The Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). APLD is an international organization whose mission is to advance the profession of landscape design and to promote the recognition of landscape designers as qualified and dedicated professionals through a rigorous certification process.

Jock Lewendon leads this tour.

Jock received his education at Rutgers University where he earned a B.S. in Environmental Planning and Design. He is a certified landscape designer and current Presi- dent of the NJ chapter of APLD. His company, Outdoor Living Spaces, strives to combine the functional aspects of indoor living and the environmental factors of the outdoors together in a creative way.
