Join the Friends for a relaxing fall day overlooking magnificent autumnal views of the Hudson River from the fabulous Gardens at Wave Hill. One of New York’s treasures, Wave Hill is a 28-acre public garden and cultural center located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. Theodore Roosevelt, Mark Twain and the great Italian composer Arturo Toscanini were just some of the famous people who once resided there. Focusing on seasonal highlights, an experienced Garden Guide will give us a one-hour tour of the gardens which include rare and unusual plants, specimen trees, rolling lawns and a beautiful pergola overlooking the river.

Also included will be a one-hour guided tour of the Glyndor House Gallery. Showcasing the work of both emerging and established artists in a unique environ- ment, these exhibitions explore the dynamic relationships between nature, culture and site.

In between tours, we will enjoy sweeping views of the Hudson River and Palisades while eating lunch on the Terrace. Lunch will include salads, fruit, dessert, beverages and your sandwich choice. Registrants will be emailed lunch options for their selection.

Time to shop with the added bonus of a 10% discount is also included. Wave Hill’s fabulous gift shop features a unique selection of nature inspired gifts from local artisans: soaps, ceramics, glass, jewelry, seasonal plants, and even honey from Wave Hill’s own hives!

Register by September 28.
