The Friends of Frelinghuysen Arboretum are proud to host dozens of events in the coming weeks, ranging from exhibits to photo classes to tours to informative programs on gardens and horticulture.

Walking Tours

There’s a free walking tour of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum this coming Sunday at 2pm.

Bring your out of town guests or a neighbor who has never been here.

Shady Nooks Available Too

Or, pick any day and find a shady nook. Here’s a perfect place for reading, filled with epiphytic plants just outside the Haggerty Education Center. Works for a Kindle too!

Calling all Chileheads!

Calling all Chileheads! Do you like your food spicy hot? We are growing all kinds of chile peppers and they are ripening fast. Send your name to lparness@morrisparks.net and you’ll be contacted you when it's harvest time.

Cooking Greens

Speaking of food, the next installment of Grow, Cook, Eat focuses on Greens on Wednesday, August 21.

Horticulture Therapy and Greystone Park

Reservations are being taken for a lovely talk on Greystone, Sunday, September 8th.

There will be an exhibit on the subject throughout August in our Gallery.

New Soaps

We are now offering 2 new soap fragrances in our lobby: Cucumber and Melon and Green Tea. These effective cleaners are gentle on the skin and on the environment as they are made of goats milk right in nearby Madison, NJ.

Mid Autumn Moon Festival

Mark your calendars for the Mid Autumn Moon Festival on Sunday, September 22nd – enjoy an incredible theatrical performance by the Chinese Theatre Works featuring Shadow Puppets.

What's in Bloom At the Arboretum

The Arboretum is overflowing with color and so too is our on-line What's in Bloom list, maintained by volunteer Phil Dahlen. It is updated every other week.

Gardening Positions at Frelinghuysen & Willowwood Arboreta
