Saturday is for Iris Lovers!
The Garden State Iris Society’s sale will be held this Saturday, June 30 from 10am - 4pm.
What an array of colors and forms – all at reasonable prices and in support of a wonderful group.
Here is an interesting article (click here for NY Times article) on children and dirt.
If you agree, please support the “Branching Out!” program by attending its 40th Birthday on August 11 or by making a donation to the Friends in support of “Branching Out!” that will be used to re-furbish our greenhouse. Click on the title, above, for more information about the program.
Introduction to Dahlias
Those lush dahlias always amaze us with their rich colors. If you want to learn more about them, come to a free class on Friday, July 6 at 7:30pm. No registration is necessary – the class is given by our friends at the NJ State Chrysanthemum Society.
Perennially Fragrant
Lavender is blooming everywhere. If you want to learn more about lavender or a dozen more fragrant perennials, take a class with David Hyde on Tuesday, July 10 at 6:30 pm. As owner of Well Sweep Herb Farm in Port Murray, NJ, David is an expert on selecting and caring for these plants whose beauty and scent adds so much to your life, not just your garden.
Remember to visit our labyrinth the next time you are here. Click on the heading, above, for more information about our labyrinth.
Happy July 4th everyone!
