 Click to enlarge Kokedama ClassHere’s a picture of the recent kokedama class showing off their first of three creations. it was fun and everyone was a kokedama mama! Plant RemediatorsMany of us are making home repairs and improvements following super storm sandy. That new carpeting, paint and drywall all produce off-gassing of potentially harmful pollutants such as benzene and formaldehyde. Through photosynthesis, plants can help to remove these and other chemical gases. NASA has done many studies on this subject and recommends something like 15 plants in 6” pots (or the equivalent) to clean the air of a 2,000 square foot space. Here is a list of their favorite “sick building” plant remediators:
