Getting Started in the Vegetable Garden - Fall: Putting to Bed

Do you consider yourself a novice when it comes to vegetables, without a clue where to begin? The Friends are offering a beginning gardening series of classes to get you started as well as answer questions you may have. These classes are not just for the beginner; they can be a good refresher for anyone.

This four part class on gardening for the novice will walk you through the beginning of the season to the end with tips, ideas and a few plants and seeds thrown in to get you right through from March to October - successfully. And the more you learn - even by trial and error - the better vegetable gardener you can become.

Sign up for one session or for all four above in the 1/14/12 entry.

Fall: Putting to Bed

Cleaning out and putting the vegetable garden to bed for winter are just as important as prepping in the spring. You may still be harvesting later summer vegetables but it's not too early to plan for winter.
