Our new greenhouse is not quite finished, but propagation for our many school field trips has begun.
Here are two trays of pencil cactus (Euphorbia tirucalli) cuttings – the mother plant is over 6’ tall, and some can grow up to 30’!
Houseplants Need Care Too
Are you giving your house plants some t.l.c. now?
This is the prefect month to take those big Boston Ferns into the shower with you, to wipe each leaf of your philodendrons (top and bottom), to scrub saucers clean of accumulated salts and to cast a critical eye on those begonias you are trying to winter over.
Our library has many excellent books on houseplants. Peruse our list (search Resources/ Library) and let Lesley know if a book is of interest to you.
Blackburn Scholarship Tea

Philadelphia Flower Show Trip
Your eyes will be wide open, however, at the Philadelphia Flower Show.
There is so much to see – from the big floor garden exhibits to the miniature jewelry made of plant parts, the show has something for everyone.
