Have you visited the patio garden adjacent to the Haggerty Education Center?
It’s filled with a splendid arrays of succulents and is under the care on Gardener Andre Dezso, shown at right tending his prickley charges.
Among his favorites is Agave Harvardiana. Those twisty white hairs are fibers which have been used to weave nets and as thread by indigenous people of the American Southwest.
