The Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is proud to host dozens of events in the coming weeks, ranging from exhibits to photo classes to tours to informative programs on gardens and horticulture. Gardener Andre Dezso

Patio Garden in Bloom

Have you visited the patio garden adjacent to the Haggerty Education Center?

It’s filled with a splendid arrays of succulents and is under the care on Gardener Andre Dezso, shown at right tending his prickley charges.

Among his favorites is Agave Harvardiana. Those twisty white hairs are fibers which have been used to weave nets and as thread by indigenous people of the American Southwest.

Tribute to Jane Packer

This Sunday’s “Tribute to Jane Packer” will be wonderful. If you enjoy floral design, treat yourself to this class and the company of like-minded flower-lovers.

We are very excited about Movie Night on Friday, September 11, when we will show Numen: The Healing Power of Plants.
