Benjamin Blackburn Scholarship Lecture

The Friends give a scholarship every year to a student of horticulture. Benjamin Blackburn Scholarship Chair, Betsy Martone, invites you to attend this year’s lecture which will be held on Saturday, Febrary 13.

“By presenting this talk on a Saturday, we hope to encourage members who work weekdays to attend, “ Betsy said. Award-winning author and arborist, William Bryant Logan, will talk about his latest book “Oaks: The Frame of Civilization.” Oaks and humans have a long and extraordinary relationship and Bill’s talk will appeal to plant lovers, anthropology buffs and history geeks alike. Proceeds directly fund the scholarship.
