The upcoming Plant Sale needs some specialized Volunteer help –

  • If you are handy with a screw driver and are able to help assemble the shelves that hold all the plants, we need you (and your fully charged electric drill) on Monday, April 25 in the morning. Please email Beth Feldman at It’s a great group of Volunteers that you will be working with!
  • Volunteer Cashiers and Tallyers are also needed for the Plant Sale. Tallyers count up the plants people have purchased, and Cashiers take the money. They work as a team, to make the line move at a good pace. If you would like to sign up, please go to our Volunteer Signup Page.
  • And finally, what are you doing Sunday, May 8 from 3pm-7:30pm? Yes, we know it’s Mother’s Day. Superintendent Lesley Parness will treat you to a Mother’s Day picnic if you volunteer to “Plant Sit” in the tent. Basically, it’s pulling up a couple of lawn chairs in the tent and keeping an eye on the plants. Go to our Volunteer Signup Page. Lesley will be in touch with your picnic menu choices!

Affiliate Offerings

  • The Frelinghuysen Arboretum Gesneriad Society offer “Lesser Know Gesneriads” on Thursday, April 7 at 8pm
