SEVEN SONS TREE (Heptacodium miconioides)
A NEW JERSEY CHAMPION TREE
The Seven Sons Tree at The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is recognized by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection as a Champion Tree, which is determined by the trunk's circumference, its height and crown spread when compared to others of its kind.
This lovely tree is currently blooming at the Arboretum, it has lovely tiny white flowers attractive to bees, an interesting exfoliating trunk and a broad, rounded canopy. Enjoy the photos of this beauty.
