Wales Trip - Bob Hemsen - Day 10 Powis Castle
Overnight stay in the Town of Welshpool. Just a quick peak at some of the buildings as it was raining heavily.
Powis Castle a fortress that was later converted to a castle. Queen Victoria visited the castle in her early years. Towering shaped hedges.
There is a passageway in the bottom left corner of the hedge (picture 7). It is hard to see given the size oof the bushes but that is where the path leads.
Peacock in stone, peacock in full display (picture 8).
Apple orchard, planted at the turn of the 20th century so these are roughly 119 year old apple trees (picture 10).
