However, early registration will guarantee you a seat and will help us plan.BEST TREES AND SHRUBS WITH HEIDI HESSELEIN OF PLEASANT RUN NURSERY Saturday, March 23Heidi Hesselein, a 4th generation nurserywoman, co-founded Pleasant Run Nursery with her husband Richard in 1998. They grow rare, new, and unusual woodies, perennials, grasses, ferns and groundcovers, and currently produce 1,000 different species. Heidi’s talk will cover many of the plants that she loves best and that will be for sale at the Friends’ Annual Plant Sale in May. After the lecture, featured plants available at the Friends’ Plant Sale may be pre-ordered. This program is eligible for 1.5 Rutgers Master Gardener CEU’s. Register now! WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUES FOR PAINTING FLOWERS AND LEAVES Sunday, April 14Artist Rae Hoffman will show you how to have fun painting flowers and leaves using various techniques: wet into wet, wet into dry, negative painting and sprinkling dry paint. Ms. Hoffman exhibits annually in area shows and has won many awards. She is a member of Studio 7 in Bernardsville and has paintings in national and international collections. This volunteer position initially requires an average of 12-15 hours/week to understand FOFA’s operations, decreasing to an average of 8-12 hours/week once familiar with the tasks, plus one board and one committee meeting/month.
