LABOR DAY
It’s hard to believe the Labor Day holiday is just around the corner; here’s a little bit of history on how the holiday began:
Labor Day was created as a way to acknowledge and pay tribute to the workforce for all they do to make our country prosperous and strong.
The first Labor Day was celebrated in New York City, on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, with other cities following their example over the next several years. It was in 1894 that Congress passed a law making the first Monday of September a legal holiday.
So, armed with this knowledge, please have a safe, happy and healthy Labor Day Weekend!
