ZOOM 101 - MEMBERS ONLYThursday, June 11 from 4:00 to 4:30 PM(Please register by 4:00 PM on June 10)The Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum's Annual Meeting is our first virtual program, so if you have never used Zoom and want to attend the Annual Meeting, Zoom 101 is an opportunity for you to practice live with Friends staff. Test your microphone and camera plus learn to chat. Once you feel comfortable using Zoom, you may leave the meeting at any time. When you register for this event, you will be sent an email invitation the day before the Zoom meeting. We hope once you learn Zoom you will join us for more of our online programming. Spend a fascinating and idea-filled afternoon with NY designer Jan Johnsen as she shares highlights from her recently published book: Gardentopia. Find out how you can shape your own yard to combine the art of landscaping with ecological awareness. Jan’s inspiring presentation will have you seeing all the possibilities your garden areas offer. By utilizing such ideas as “hide and reveal”, “lure of the sheltered corner” and “principle of three depths” you can make your outdoor space a place of beauty and delight. Plant Lists will be available. Jan has designed beautiful landscapes around the world over the past four decades and has lectured widely on her work. She also has taught at Columbia University and the New York Botanical Garden. Gardentopia is her third acclaimed book. Rutgers Community Garden Lunch & Learn SeriesRutgers Cooperative Extension announced a community gardening Lunch and Learn series that begins Wednesday May 27 that continues through July 1.
